Day-01:

Dhaka  Airport pick-up if time permits, city tour around parliament complex, Dhaka University and National museum.

overnight stay in Dhaka hotel 71 or hotel victory or hotel ornate ( 3-star )

 

Day-02: Old Dhaka Tour

Old Dhaka heritage buildings, Mughal monuments & palace fort, Dhakeswari temple, Katara, Ahshan Monzil palace museum, Star mosque, boat buildings, river front chaos, Mughal Mosque and Armenian church. In the evening board into the launch for an overnight cruise to Barisal.

Day-03: Barisal backwater trip

Early in the morning upon arrival Barisal, get into car for 2 hours drive and backwater cruise around the laid-back lives of low lying plains and enjoy the floating markets. if you wish, you can explore agricultural heritage system or manta communities living in the boat and fishing.

Later in the afternoon, Visit UNESCO heritage sites at Bagerhat once the city of Khalitabad built by Khan Jahan Ali who patronage 360 Mosque, tomb and Sixty dome Mosque one of the Islamic superstructure of Bangladesh.

Day-04: Khulna – Rajshahi by Train 

Depart Khulna to Rajshahi by a morning train, upon arrival visit Puthia Temples town and palace complex, drive to Natore for visiting a territorial aristocracy of a female Zamindar traces grandeur in the built palace structures. we suggest also visit most remarkable Varendra research museum.

Day-05: Islamic architectural Heritage

100km drive to explore the medieval Bengal Sultans built rich Islamic heritage structures including the precious Mosque, tomb, Mausoleum, shrine, Madrasha scattered across Chapai nawabganj in between Bangladesh and India when Gaur was the provincial capital of medieval Bengal sultans.
In the afternoon look back the meaningful past preserved at the Varendra research history museum. There are types of many sculptures; monks used tools, articles of Paharpur Mahavihara, many antiquities, artifacts, images, relics and many more of past civilization and eras.

Day-06: Kushumba Mosque – Paharpur – Mahasthan

Early in the morning 2 hours drive to visit the stone built precious Kushumba Mosque, another 2 hours drive to look back the Superstructure of the Pala dynasty rulers who patronage to built the innumerable Buddhist sites for various aspects of learning. The Somapura Mahavihara was the single largest monastery shaped by the core concept of Gautama Buddha has infinite value due to the combination of arts and architecture evidencing as World Heritage cultural sites in Paharpur of Rajshahi,
In the afternoon drive to visit the ruins of Jagaddala Vihara.

Day-7: Explore Mahasthangarh

Early morning  drive to Mahasthangarh – The ruins of archaeological fortress city holds the eighteen hundred years of buried history and culture which was used as an ancient trading route and was the Capital of Pundravardhana. Visit the site Museum may be considered as a historic door for learning the culture and heritage of the ancient society since the museum hold various sculptures, statues, antiquities, artifacts, tools, folklore, pottery, metal and bronze crafts, ancient articles and relics showcased to look back the meaningful and glorious past of Mahasthan historical sites.

Stroll around the Govindha vita, tomb of shah sultan, Vasu vihara or narapatir dhap, Jiyat kunda also called the well of life and Gokul meth or Behula’s Nuptial house.

Day-08: Bogra – Dinajpur

In the morning drive to visit Dinajpur Kantanagar or Kantajew Temple is the greatest icon of the terracotta architecture of Bangladesh till stands on a sandstone platform with its intricate15,000 terra-cotta plaque embodied the epic tale of the Krishna, Ramayana, Mahabarata and represented the social context with symbolic and floral motifs. In the afternoon return drive to Bogra for night halt.

 

Day-09: Bogra to Dhaka

Depart Bogra to Dhaka, on the way visit some photogenic places of Tangail.

 

Day-10: Sonargaon and Moinamoti

Depart Dhaka for Buddhist ruins archaeological sites of Samatata kingdom. Shalvan Vihara is one of Major Buddhist cultural and educational center in the ruins heritage sites since-8th to 12th Century. From here the following adjacent sites you may also visit: Ananda Vihar, Charpatra Mura, Itakhola Mura, Rupban Mura, Kutila Mura and Triratna Stupa. Among these, the Ananda Vihara, the Charpatra Mura and the Kutila Mura are situated within the Moinamoti Cantonment are therefore, prior permission of the cantonment authorities is necessary for the visit. After lunch at Miami restaurant we will drive back to Dhaka.

On the way back, we will stop at Sonargaon, the oldest city, which was the capital of Bengal from 13th – 17th century for sight-seeing. we may visit the folklore museum and the lost city of Panam nagar, on arrival Dhaka in the evening transferred to the hotel / residence.

 

Day-11: Airport drop to end the tour

Departure from Bangladesh

by ending tour of the archaeological sites in Bangladesh.

Travelers Notes:

  • Timing and assembling could change because of traffic.
  • Bengali local food is spicy. Plain rice, vegetables, fish & meat are available in restaurants. (Non-spicy food is possible to order at most of the restaurant.)
  • It requires modest clothes to visit any mosque. The dress of shorts is a problem in the historical and cultural sites.
  • Ahsan Manzil is closed on Thursday and opens Fridays after 3:00 pm. Lalbagh Fort is closed on Sundays and open on Mondays after 2:00 pm. Ahsan Manzil and Lalbagh Fort are also closed on government holidays.
  • Moinamoti Cultural built heritage museum off-day on Sunday and Monday.
  • Rajshahi Varendra research Museum off-day on Thursday and Friday.
  • Bagerhat Sixty Dome Mosque visiting is prohibited on Friday from 12:00 to 2:30 PM.
