Bangladesh is a land of smiling peoples. Gathering together in a festive mood is a characteristic of the people of this country since our 1st civilization at Gangaridai Kingdom. There was a custom of annual celebration by the gathering peoples to well-wish each others and enjoying the day coloring each other even throwing mud and mud-bathing in between Panchdona & Madhabdi. They selling goods and clothes at a certain place but the traditional culture is being lost due to the people coming from different civilizations and due to religious, political domination and advanced technology.

Bangladesh Photography tour on 20th January to 3rd February 2025

Biswa Ijtema will be held from 31st January to till 2nd February and 2nd phase 7th to 9th February 2025. 

Millions of Muslims gather in the 3 day Islamic  Tabligi Jamat annual congregation while overloaded train passing photo shoots and millions of people’s praying scenes are very interesting for photographers. 

These trip have been designed to experience the expressional heritage of Bangladesh contemporary peoples. We highlight the farmers’ agricultural heritage system, fisherman traditional fishing activities in the sea, daily labors, brick field works and traditional weavings. We also highlight the indigenous peoples way of living and lifestyle and ship breaking yards. Experience the difference of fishing with trained otters and floating markets. 

Day-1 (20.01): Dhaka Boat building Photo and cruise to Barisal

Dhaka street photo. Experience the people’s expression in Dhaka, Overnight in the AC room of the giant ship while cruise towards Barisal. 

Day-2 (21.01): BARISAL BACKWATER CRUISE AROUND FLOATING MARKET

Barisal backwater cruise into the floating market, photo shoot of local crafts & factories, explore Manta bede peoples boat life, woman activities in the agricultural heritage system. late in the afternoon drive to Khulna after visiting Sixty Domed Mosque of Bagerhat, continue on to Khulna.

Day-3 (22.01): OTTER FISHING VILLAGE EXPEDITIONS

In the morning our Hiace drive to Gobra Bazar of Narail, we will use a local vehicle or Motorcycle to access the village

for experiencing the fishing with trained otters. We return to Khulna by 14:00 hours for lunch and continue on a scenic

drive towards Barisal. In the evening, board a giant ship in the AC room ( 3-star )  for an overnight cruise toward Dhaka.

Day-4 (23.01): DHAKA PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR

Early In the morning drive to visit Kawran Bazar vegetables market & shahbagh wholesale flower market after having

breakfast from restaurant photo shoot of loading / unloading coal, sands & bricks, you can interest in Garbage of hill at

Amin Bazar. Overnight in studio 23 – A 3-star hotel.

Day-5 ( 24.01): DHAKA – CHITTAGONG train and shipbreaking Photo expeditions

After having lunch, we will forward to Sitakunda ship breaking yards and we also hired a boat for photo shooting of their activities from a boat. Walk around various parts markets. 

 

Day-6(25.01): Chittagong – Rangamati by car / Hiace

Early morning stroll around Fishari ghat – the largest sea fish market of the country. One Hiace will be reserved for Rangamati )77km) drive, on the way entry at the checkpoint and upon arrival our boat will be ready for a cruise on Kaptai lake toward Shuvolong valley and weekly tribal Bazar in the isolated valley. Enjoy people’s photo trip and explore a tribal village and their hand-loom cloth shops. 

Savor bamboo chicken and fresh lake fish in the lake restaurant. Late afternoon, walk around Bonrupa Bazar.

 

Day-7 (26.01): RANGAMATI – BANDARBAN LAKE LINK RD

Drive through the scenic majesty of the lake and hills and stop different tribal points. After a 3 hour journey, check in at the hotel and have lunch. We discover Tripura tribal peoples traditional way of living on a gentle hike and explore several tribal villages of Bawm and Marma.

Day-8 (27.01): Walk around Shangu river and drive to Cox’s Bazar

Early morning walk around or boat trip in Shangu river after having breakfast 3 hours drive to Cox’s Bazar, check in at the beach view resort.

In the afternoon marine drive to photo shoot of fisherman and farmers activities in the sacred landscape in between the hills and sea beach. Enjoy photo shoots of traditional shampan boats along the beach during sunset.

Day-9 (28.01): Explore Sonadia Island 

Early morning cruise towards Sonadia island where many fishermen catch fish around, largest dry fish zone and enjoy the red crafts appearing, you will enjoy some interesting fishing activities and traditional boat building activities. Late in the afternoon fly back to Dhaka.

Day-10(29.01): weaving factories expeditions

Traditional hand-loom weaving, load / unload scene, Jamdani weaving and traditional batik fabrics dyed in Banti.

In the evening a folk musical program can be arranged on demands.

Day-11: (30.01): Brick factories, traditional weaving and village school 

On this day, enjoying traditional weavers, farmers and the village education system can be more interesting. You will discover several brick fields and Late afternoon drive toward Airport near a 3-star hotel.

Day-12(31.01: 1st day of Biswa Ijtema 

In the morning gathering for photo shoot the belief system of the pilgrims at the Biswa Ijtema, In the afternoon visit factories & In the evening photo shoot of Biswa Ijtema, overnight 3-star or 4-star hotel.

Day-13(1.02) 2nd day of Biswa Ijtema and street Photo

Day-14(2.02): Last day of Ijtema praying and main day of Photo shoots

Early Morning walk around Biswa Ijtema and take a good position for photo shoots while Millions of peoples praying together, all roads and alleys are filled by millions of peoples. After praying, walk towards the train station where we experience the peoples gathering. In the evening return to the hotel nearby Biswa Ijtema.

Day-15(3.02): Airport Drop to end the photo expeditions

Day-1: DHAKA ARRIVAL & VISIT BISWA IJTEMA

Check in Abdullahpur hotel near Tongi Ijtema. Free time around Biswa Ijtema.

Day-2: DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES PHOTO SHOOT IN IJTEMA

In the morning gathering for photo shoot the acts of pilgrims in the Biswa Ijtema, In the afternoon visit factories & In the evening photo shoot of Biswa Ijtema, overnight 3-star or 4-star hotel.

Day-3: PHOTOGRAPHY OF PRAYER & MILLIONS PEOPLES GET-TOGETHER

In the morning, we take a position on the roof of five / six storied building to have look the whole Ijtema and peoples sitting in the road for final prayer. Gathering with  the millions of way peoples acts in the road and photo shoot in the train station after the ends of Ijtema, overnight cruise to Barisal with overloaded pilgrims in the ship.

Day-4: BARISAL BACKWATER CRUISE AROUND FLOATING MARKET & Bede boat life

Barisal backwater cruise into the floating market, photo shoot of local crafts & factories, explore Manta bede peoples boat life, late in the afternoon drive to Khulna after visiting Sixty Domed Mosque of Bagerhat, continue on to Khulna.

Day-6: DHAKA PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR

Early In the morning drive to visit Kawran Bazar vegetables market & shahbagh wholesale flower market after having breakfast from restaurant photo shoot of loading / unloading coal, sands & bricks, you can interest in Garbage of hill at Amin Bazar, in the evening gathering in the Biswa Ijtema for the expressions of pilgrims.

Day-7: DHAKA – CHITTAGONG DIRECT TRAIN & SHIPYARD PHOTOGRAPHY

Early in the morning train journey direct toward Chittagong, upon arrival after having lunch drive to Kumira for photo shoot around Sitakunda shipbreaking yard. We have good liaison with shipyard Manager to be entry inside the shipyard or we hired a boat for photography.

Overnight in hotel Alina – 3-star rating hotel or hotel Agrabad ( 4-star hotel )

Day-8: BANDARBAN HILL TRACTS TRIBAL POINTS PHOTOGRAPHY

Early morning few km drive to photo shoot of the largest sea fish wholesale market named Fishari ghat after having breakfast continue drive toward Bandarban, upon arrival the day activities are –

Hiking experience to explore indigenous peoples traditional way of living and different lifestyle along the different altitudes of hills, in the late afternoon stroll around Shangu river & hill tribe villages.

Overnight in Hillside Eco- resort or Venus resort ( 4-star facilities )

Day-9: BANDARBAN-  KAPTAI LINK Rd – RANGAMATI

Early morning leave Bandarban for Rangamati hill tribes lake town, we use Kaptai – Chandragong road for photo shoot of different tribal points along the Kaptai lake & a cruise on Kaptai lake valley to explore tribal village life, shuvolong valley, floating market etc.

Overnight in parjatan motel or similar

Day-10: RANGAMATI – CHITTAGONG – DHAKA

Early morning photography in Rangamati & on our way to Chittagong visit wholesale dry fish market & boat building around Firingi Bazar in Chittagong, after an early quick lunch, board into the train by 12:00 hours for Dhaka, upon arrival Dhaka Kamalapur Railway station, transfer to our expeditions resort for night halt.

( we accommodate you at expeditions resort as ready only AC 3 bed rooms and tent in the rooms / roof for the additional person )

Day-11: BANTI OF NARAYANGANJ: Photography of row dyeing, Batik village and its impact on environment, we also explore traditional weaving factories & brick fields, In the evening after having an early dinner, transfer to Dhaka airport nearby hotel.

Day-12: LAST DAY TRIP – A DROP TO AIRPORT

Airport drop for ending the photography expedition in Bangladesh.
