Itinerary

Day-1:

  • DHAKA AIRPORT PICKED UP AND ACTIVITIES

At first day trip including Airport pick up & transfer to the hotel if day lights remain just stroll around local bazars & Markets.

  • Dhaka Full-day City Tour before embarking on an overnight cruise to Barisal

In the second day of the trip, we will take you to the historically important monuments & Museum around New & Old Dhaka. The sights are as above:

  • National Assembly Complex: “Parliament Building”, a magnificent symbol of expensive modern architecture design by famous American architect luis I kahn. The magical nine storied complex is lesson for architects.

Edifices in Dhaka University area:

  • Curzon Hall:
    This stunning structure was built with happy blend of European and Mughal elements in 1904. Meant to be a town hall and was named after Lord Curzon, the then British Viceroy in India. It was used as such till 1911, when the partition of Bengal was annulled. Following the annulment of partition in 1911 it was used as a premise of Dhaka College, and after the establishment of Dhaka University in 1921, became part of the university’s science section and continues as such.
  • High court building:
    Is the finest example of European Renaissance architectural style with crown shape dome was built as the residence of the governor of East Bengal and Assam in 1905 but its thought to be unfit then few years used as Dhaka collage and it is now supreme court of Bangladesh located opposite to Karzan hall at Kazi nazrul islam avenue sarak.
  • Dhakeswari Temple:
    The earliest settlement in Dhaka dates back to more than a thousand years according to many historians. It is often believed that Raja Ballal Sen of the Sen Dynasty of Bengal founded the Dhakeshwari Temple in the 12th century to mark the place of his birth and to pay tribute to the patron goddess of this region. Raja Man Singh, the commander-in-chief of Emperor Akbar who stayed in Dhaka from 1602 – 1604 while he built the four Shiva Temple in the yard of Dhakeswari Temple.
  • Lalbagh Mughal palace fort:
    Which built by the last Emperor Aurangazeb under the patron of prince mohammad Azam shah while he was viceroy of Bengal for short time during 1677 to 1679. He built only double storied hall of public audience is attached with a Hammam on its west,  a masonry tank , the fortification wall in the south and west, massive south gate with three storied a second massive gate standing in the north-eastern parts and a smaller incomplete gateway and typical three dome Mosque.Shaistha Khan commemorates his dearest daughter Pari Bibi built a tomb of a square platform. The roof is crowned by an octagonal copper dome and modeled upon the mausoleum of Emperor Humayun at Delhi. The stone and marble were brought from Jaypur, Chunar and Gaya, and the building must have cost a huge sum of money.
  • Bara Katra:
    Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan 2nd son prince Shah Suja the then Governor of Bengal built a large palatial caravansary in old Dhaka named – “ Bara Katra  for his official residence but he gifted to his dewan for using as a hospitality building of the Mughal  for the travelers, immigrants and traders accommodation and food free where there was also bazaar holding area, a landing station of navy and army in between the Afghan fort and ghat at present chawk bazaar.
  • Choto Katra:
    Choto Katra is another Significant architectural caravansary built between 1663 -71 is  situated at about 200 yards East of the BARA KATRA for accommodating some officials and Shaista Khan’s expanding family who was the then successful  Governor of Bengal.
  • Star Mosque:
    Built in Mughal style 3 domed Mosque in early 19th Century, it was rebuilt 1962 by alijan bepary adjacent 5 domed and varanda with English China Bangla – tiles and decorated motifs of blue star, created hundreds of blue star and on the Domes of white marble
  • Shakhari Patti / bazaar:
    Shakhari Patti is named after the specialized trade and crafts of Shakha ornaments have a specific socio- cultural value as only used to all Hindu married woman. Shakhari  patti in a similar architectural style as Panam Nagar, closely packed houses built along a narrow road 10 to 12 feet wide for about 600 feet long in a line both side of the road to secured from robbery by shutting off whole areas if necessary.
  • Ahshan Monzil ( pink palace ):
    Ahsan Manzil—in 1872 on the bank of the River Buriganga in Old Dhaka an European architectural terms and souvenir of the aristocrat life of Dhaka Nawabs during the zenith of the British Raj in the 19th and early-20th centuries. Many zamindar countrywide began to construct their bungalows in colorful European architectural styles to showcase their status, wealth, and power.
  • Boat building in Sadarghat:
    At the end of the day on a boat trip on Buriganga river while several hundred canoe boat floating and crossing the river. You will have a look the boat building and repairing activities on the bank,
  • Embark on the gigantic ship for an overnight cruise towards Barisal.

 

Day-03: Barisal – Floating market – Bagerhat – Khulna by Car / Hiace

Upon arrival Barisal, you will transferred to Banaripara where our waiting boat begin its cruise –

  • Barisal backwater cruise:
    Despite Barisal backwater cruise cover many interesting sights, we cover only morning vegetables floating market and walk through village to know their typical way of lives and arts of attitude. River scenic beauty & Bede peoples living on the boat. In the full-day cruise more interesting are – boat building, floating Timber markets, coconut coir processing factories and cruise around Venice of Bengal at Swarup kathi.
  • A car drive to Khulna, on the way visit sixty domed Mosque, some other Mosque’ and mausoleum of Khan Jahan Ali who was the saint and ruler of Khalitabad city during the Medieval sultanate period.
  • Bagerhat city of Mosque:
    The Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat represents the remnants of a medieval Muslim town in the north of the Sundarbans. It contains some of the most significant buildings and Islamic super-structures. Shait-Gumbad is one of the iconic mosques which is represents the spiritual environment that exhibits a unique architectural style, known as Khan-e-Jahan (15th Century A.D.). Khan Jahan Ali tomb is extra ordinary architecture beyond sweet water reservoir in Bagerhat.

In the evening, continue on to Mongla and check-in parjatan hotel pashur or our boat.

 

Day-4:

Adventure cruise to the Sundarbans

Our specially built tourist boat start its cruise by 6:00 AM in the morning towards the Wildlife sanctuaries where wildlife are best viewed there. We cruise water bodies of the mangrove forest on the way, stop at chandpai forest office where our waiting armed forest guard join the trip.

After 8 hours of cruise ashore in the Kachikhali Tiger point along the Bay of Bengal. Walk through forest grassland where wild boars and herds of deer frequently observed from close. We have a look the wildlife over the horizontal view surrounding by forest greenery from observation tower, at 4:00 PM, we board into small silent boat for bird watching and in search of Aquatic species like otters, monitor and rare bird species in Kachikhali canal.

Day-5:

Katka & Kachikhali Wildlife expeditions

Early morning bird watching trip and then 8km green beach trail and Katka beach activities, stroll around Katka wildlife viewpoints. Explore Katka Tiger hill points where several hundred deer remains in presence of Tiger. A tiger might be spotted during the tour for memorable these expeditions. Late afternoon, Katka canal cruise to have look the beauties of canal with rare species and then started return cruise back to Chadpai, BBQ dinner on the way.

Day-6:

Fisherman village & Karamjal crocodile breeding center

The last day trip cover the Sundarbans fisherman village to know their lives story tale, walking through wooden foot trail and see different sizes crocodile and watch Dolphin  during lunch time. At 2:30 PM, leave the boat for Khulna

Day-7:

Khulna – Rajshahi by morning train

Early in the morning leave the hotel and train journey toward Rajshahi, upon arrival lunch will be served after check in hotel, visit the grandeur of Zamindar who built 11 precious terracotta temples to Eye- witness from his most terracotta Palace at Putia. In the evening, watch mulberry silk processing and sales center.

Day-8:

Paharpur single largest Buddhist Vihara & First Capital and Fortress city – Mahasthan

Early in the morning drive toward Paharpur – the single largest Buddhist Vihara which is UNESCO status cultural built heritage, visit precious stone built Kushumba Mosque and after having lunch visit Mahasthangarh site museum, Govinda Vita, Gokul medh, remnants of fortress port city and Vasu Vihara.

  • Kushumba Mosque:
    In the morning 2 hour drive to visit the countries riches stone arched Kushumba Mosque is precious Mosque used to be prayer & place of justice and became the dominant hub of the Muslim society and main source of administration & public audience which is the following design of Adina Mosque famous in Indian sub-continent.  The stone outspread platform is used to seat of Sultan that followed by a single flight staircase from the front. The UNESCO status World Heritage – single largest Somapura Mahavihara which was shaped according to the core concept of Gautama Buddha and iconic super-structure of Buddhists during Pala Dynasty.
  • Mahasthan:
    Look back to the time period of historic first Capital and the earlier ruins fortress city of Mahasthan or Pundranagar where varied 1800 years of history and culture due to consistently used the Capital of the Maurya, Gupta Empire, the great Ashoka, the Shanga and the great Pala dynasties. There are also marks of Afghan settlement in the 12th century. The museum traces the different settlement of Mahasthan showcases many sculpture, stone image, artifacts and inscriptions. We will discover the Govindha vita, Vasu vihara, Jiyat kunda also called the well of life and Gokul meth or Behula’s Nuptial house.
  • Vasu Vihara:
    Vasu Vihara is an ancient Buddhist monastic complex stands to witness the region’s rich Buddhist heritage. Archaeological findings revealed the religious, cultural, and educational practices of the past glory of Buddhism in Bangladesh during Pala dynasty.

Day-9:

Rivers of Life & return drive toward Dhaka

The last day trip cover the rivers of Life in the char of Brahmaputra river. After an early breakfast drive through rural beauties and countries largest vegetable market toward Sariakandi and cross the river to have a look the sensitive lives of farmer who live with cattle and family in the char during dry season for cultivate the lands and the summer season force to live in the street or dwelling other cities surviving life. Many of these farmers life are hazardous.

Afterward, we started our return drive to Dhaka (4hours), in the evening upon arrival Dhaka, transfer to your hotel.

 

Day-10:

DHAKA – CHITTAGONG by air

In the morning from Dhaka airport taking 1st flight for Chittagong, upon arrival our guide bring you at Fishari ghat – the largest sea fish market and have a look the typical sea fishing boat, a drive to Kumira of sitakunda – the pristine beach believe to be 1st settlement place of the sea shore. We hired a boat for photography of ship breaking yards, now a day’s shipyard is most demanded photogenic place of Chittagong, visit Bayazid boastami shrine over the hill and a boat trip on Karnaphuly River before sunset.

Day-11:

CHITTAGONG – BANDARBAN by car / Hiace

In the morning 92km drive toward Bandarban, the hill station of Chittagong, we show permits copy in check points and upon arrival check in Venus hotel.

Rest of the day activities are –

  • Cruise on Shangu river – we take a usual boat trip on Shangu river in the backside of the city dwellers. Enjoy the tribal people’s activities in the river.
  • A small hike down to the Tripra tribal village peoples traditionally live down the hills. Tripura woman wear loads of traditional beads and heavy metal hand rings. They savor their own making wine and some of them embrace Christianity.

Day-12:

BADARBAN – COX’S BAZAR by AC Hiace / car

After breakfast checkout Bandarban for Cox’s Bazar (3 hours), on the way visit Ramkot – the 1st settlement territory where the great Ashoka built Chitya, the place now filled with Buddhist Monastery and memorial temple of Ram-Sita. Afterwards drive to see the largest sleeping Budda statue in Ramu, in the afternoon, check in Beach view resort / seagull hotel.

In the afternoon, marine drive as far as possible for seeing the colorful fisherman boat in the sea shore beach, dry fishing activities and living stone appeared in the beach due to the hills meet the sea. Moheskhali & Sonadia Island expeditions & fly toward Dhaka

  • Sonadia Island: The last day trip in Cox’s Bazar is experience the difference while you hired a speed boat for Sonadia Island through Blue Ocean. You will find sea fisherman typical fishing activities, dry fishing in the sandy island and millions of red crabs appear and hidden in the whole.
  • Moheskhali Fisherman village & typical boat building:
    Most of the villagers in Moheskhali around Sonadia are fisherman involved in sea fishing, their net fishing boats repairing is splendid experience and salt collection as well as betel leaf farming are their amazing way of lives can be experience in the only hills over the island.
