Otter Fishing Technique:

This traditional method of fishing with otters has been an age-old practice among the fishermen in villages along the Chitra River in Narail. Monsoons and winters usually offer the best chances for otter-assisted fishing. The otters after eating fish start diving up and down in excitement after sometime calmed down a bit then sank into the water, the fisherman tied to bamboo with a rope. As soon as they start swimming, the fishermen throw their net into the water. Fish usually hide under aquatic plants. The otters expedition those fish out and drive them into the net. The fishermen pull the net with more fish.

Day-01: Dhaka Full-day City Tour before embarking on an overnight cruise to Barisal 

In the first day of the trip, we will take you to the overloaded city holds chaos by the mixed-blooded people on a race to have better opportunities in the way of urban life since the Mughal Empire regime. once the city was acts of trade due to water communication by the merchants and traders who traces many story tales and many heritage buildings, magnificent monuments. We will arrange a tour to the main attractions of Dhaka city before embarking onto the luxury overnight cruise toward Barisal.

Day-02: Barisal – Floating market – Bagerhat – Khulna by Car / Microbus

Upon arrival Barisal just drive (2hours) to Banaripara from where you will start a backwater cruise. The day amazed you in the rural landscape with laid-back life of farmers. Although all the places can’t be cover but we try as much as possible.

* You will cruise to have a look the peasants laden grains and vegetables by canoe boats in the floating vegetable markets.

* You can explore village education system and woman making crafts.

* You will cruise towards Swarupkathi to see the practice of hard-works in the floating timber market.

* You can explore Manta communities living in the boat isolated from mainland (Gipsy boat life)

* Visit Bagerhat city of Mosque ruled by Khan Jahan Ali ® who built many Mosque and water reservoir during his rule. We may chance to visit sixty domed Mosque was built with spiritual environment (A UNESCO cultural Heritage sites)

Day-3: OTTER FISHING VILLAGE EXPEDITIONS

You will experience generation owned practice of fishing by trained otters and in the afternoon drive back to Dhaka.

* In the morning you can visit Garbage of hill where poor people’s and wildlife both are searching resources and selling to survive their life.

* Microbus drive to Narail for photography of fishing with trained otters. You will experience the generation owned practice after having lunch, continue on a scenic drive towards Dhaka (4hours), In the evening check in hotel.
