Is it safe to tours in Bangladesh now?

October to March are winter season is the peak time of the year. Bangla new year highly celebrated by the peoples of every corner on 14th April. Nature treks, trekking trip and Sundarbans wildlife tours are highly popular from October to till March.

How about drinking alcohol? Is there any restriction about this?

Bangladesh is Muslim country, according to the Islamic rule, you are not able to drink alcohol or buy it from the shops but there are BAR in particular places and hotel.

What to wear in Bangladesh? Please mention about the dress code of Bangladesh.

Following Islamic rules including Hijab or Islamic dress code is necessary for Bangladesh. However, these rules are not witnessed very rigidly, especially for tourists and foreigners.  Tourists never maintaining hijab but some female travelers like to wear salwar / kamis for traveling Bangladesh.

Main restriction for entrance in Islamic complex

There are some minimum requirements for foreign women dress-code in public places and mausoleum and shrine

 It’s a rules for entrance any Islamic complex, travelers must be wear long dress / full pant should be covered down to ankles and scarf to frame their face but hat is not necessary. Tight jeans are no problem. woman body should be covered with loose dress in public places. Woman are not allowed inside the shrine.

Could you please mention if there is any restriction to travel Bangladesh as an unmarried couple?

No, there are no restrictions for unmarried couples to travel to Bangladesh. They can stay at the hotel in the same room without any problem because the hotels never ask about your relationship.

Is there Internet access in Bangladesh?

WIFI Internet accessible all cities in Bangladesh. All the hotels, restaurants, and café’s  in Bangladesh have WIFI so you can access the Internet when you are at your hotel in all cities. Tour operators give you Bangladeshi sim-card to you with a limited date. This way, you will have Internet access in the streets during your tour. If your data will finish, you can ask your guide to help you to recharge it.

What are the extra costs you need to pay during your trip in Bangladesh?

The entrance fee is approximately 5 to 10 US$ per person for each site. Some sites are less expensive and some sites are more expensive.

Currency

You are able to bring your money in Euro or Dollars and exchange your money in the reliable exchange shops  in main cities or at the airports. Your guide will assist you to have good rate.

Food

A very good traditional meal in a good restaurant is almost 10 US$ per person, Buffet lunch / dinner cost each @ US$ 25 to US$ 35.00 and if you meal at hotel restaurant are expensive.

Tips

Tips are not mandatory in Bangladesh but In Sundarbans 3 days tour every tourists pay tips together to boat staff and forest armed guard.

What can I buy as a souvenir in Bangladesh?

Once Bangladesh rich culture in crafts, you can find various handicrafts there. You will have many options to choose as a souvenir in each cities in Bangladesh such as tribal handmade cloth or bamboo / wood made crafts. Bangladeshi garments or traditional handloom cloths and Jamdani sharee.
